2. Hosting and access logs

This website is hosted by Domainfactory GmbH, c/o WeWork, Neuturmstraße 5, 80331 München. A data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.

When you visit this website, the web server processes information that is technically necessary. This may include, in particular, your IP address, the date and time of access, the page or file requested, the server response status, the amount of data transferred, and information about your browser, operating system and the page you previously visited.

This processing serves to provide the website, ensure its stable and secure operation, and identify and resolve technical errors and abusive access. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the secure and reliable provision of this website.

According to DomainFactory, Apache access logs are retained for 14 days. A retention period of 14 days is also configured for the additional access logs archived in the hosting account. This setting does not apply to the statistical data described below.

Further information is available in the DomainFactory privacy notice.

3. Server-side statistics

AWStats and Webalizer are enabled in the hosting package. They generate statistics about visits to the website based on the server logs. No analytics cookies are set in your browser for this purpose.

According to the hosting provider, this processing includes, in particular, IP addresses, referring pages, information about the country of origin and browser information. These data are stored separately from the access logs and, under the current configuration, are retained until deleted by the administrator. The 14-day retention period for access logs does not apply to these statistical data.

4. Contacting me

If you contact me using the contact form, by email or by telephone, I process your contact details and the information you provide in order to handle your enquiry.

Your email address and message are required in the contact form. Any further information is optional. The message is sent by email and is not additionally stored in the website database. No external service such as Google reCAPTCHA is used.

If your enquiry concerns entering into or performing a contract with you, processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other enquiries, it is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is handling and responding to your enquiry.

Hosting and email service providers are used for the technical handling of enquiries. They process the contact details, message content and connection data necessary for transmission and storage.

Your information is deleted once it is no longer needed to handle your enquiry and there are no statutory retention obligations or other legal reasons for continued storage. If the enquiry leads to a contractual relationship, the data may be further processed to perform the contract.

Providing your information is voluntary. Without the information needed to handle your enquiry, it may not be possible to respond.

5. Cookies, fonts and external content

No cookies are used for visitors to the publicly accessible website. No services such as Google Analytics or advertising trackers are used. Server-side statistics are described in Section 3.

Fonts are not retrieved from Google Fonts or other external font servers.

Links to external services, such as LinkedIn, Xing, YouTube or Google Maps, are ordinary hyperlinks. Merely displaying such a link does not embed the linked service as content on this website. If you open a link, you leave this website. The respective provider is responsible for the processing of personal data that takes place there.

6. Encrypted connection

This website uses HTTPS with TLS encryption. This protects the data exchanged between your browser and the web server while it is being transmitted.

  • Erasure of your personal data, pursuant to Article 17 GDPR.
  • Restriction of processing, pursuant to Article 18 GDPR.
  • Data portability, pursuant to Article 20 GDPR, where processing is based on consent or a contract and is carried out by automated means.

Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before your withdrawal.

To exercise your rights, you can contact me using the contact details provided above.

8. Right to object

Where your personal data are processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right under Article 21 GDPR to object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.

In this case, the data concerned will no longer be processed unless compelling legitimate grounds can be demonstrated that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

You may object at any time, without giving reasons, to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes.
